This 1479cc Armstrong Siddeley 12HP Saloon comes to us from a deceased estate, and has had only 8 previous owners since its first registration on 2nd March 1934. The most recent owner invested heavily in the car during his 8-year tenure, having purchased it in 2017, and the history file includes a typed sheet detailing all works done between 2017 and 2020.
These included £2000 for a bare-metal respray in 2017, and £4000 for “repairs and recommissioning” in 2020. A selection of invoices cover this period, but the most significant is for over £6000 in 2021. This covered a large programme of works that ranged from fabricating a new exhaust and a complete new wiring loom to refurbishing the carburettor, starter motor and dynamo, general servicing and lubrication procedures for the drivetrain and running gear.
The car comes with a lubrication chart, period maintenance manuals, Armstrong Siddeley book published by the Rolls-Royce Heritage Trust, and its current V5C .
