1985cc. This silver Saab 900 T16 is the desirable 16-valve turbocharged, intercooled model, complete with Aero body kit. Its MoT remains valid to 28th November 2025.
This particular example has an interesting provenance, having previously belonged to car magazine staff including the deputy editor of Practical Classics magazine. It featured in numerous editions of that publication, and even appeared on the front cover in March this year. Four magazine editions featuring the car can be found in the history file.
The Saab comes with bills totalling over £11,000 dating at least as far back as 2004. In more recent years it has received substantial investment, including a new clutch, plus a stainless steel exhaust and bodywork restoration. The vendor tells us that it is driving very well.
The car comes with a service book showing 17 stamps up to 96,705 miles, recorded in 2002. Documentation is extensive and includes the current V5C, old V5s, tax discs and MoT certificates dating back to 2000, plus a large collection of receipts, and an instruction manual for the stereo.
It was first registered on 1st August 1989, and the indicated mileage of 154,000 is believed to be correct.
