1558cc. Lotus created the Elan +2S 130 by equipping the upmarket +2S model with the ‘big valve’ version of the TwinCam engine. This example presents nicely and benefits from a recent respray, but it is being sold as a project requiring mechanical recommissioning and some electrical attention.
Although an original UK car, it spent a few years in Europe and received a professional engine rebuild in Belgium around 2020. The brake servo has been upgraded, and the vendor has supplied a few spares in the boot, including wheel bearings, wiper motor, a front wiring loom and a car cover. The headlamp operation has been converted to electric, and the two vacuum pods are included.
The car comes with its current V5C, and the odometer displays 90,055 miles. It was first registered on 1st August 1972.
