This very rare Bean 14 will be 100 years old next year, having been registered on 4th June 1926. The vehicle comes to us from a deceased estate, having been owned by an avid collector of this historic English manufacturer. Despite the original pedal arrangement it's more usable than it looks, thanks to a Ford gearbox and Pinto engine, with the addition of rear lights and indicators. The engine is believed to be a 1.6-litre Pinto, although the V5C records it as a 2.0-litre.

It's believed this 14hp example started life as a five-seat Tourer, but was soon re-bodied as a pick-up in 1927. A few receipts are included, one showing that this Bean was auctioned in 2021 at Bicester Heritage for £23,000. It is accompanied by a handbook, various old photos of the vehicle, and the latest V5C.

The number plate is transferrable.
